I(Tricia) just thought about making a blog, therefore this post will be lacking in a significant amount of information about what has been going on in our lives. Basically, our wedding is in 3.5 months and we have been engaged for 3.5 months...therefore, the halfway point. The halfway point..isn't there supposed to be a vision of the goal line? It feels as though there are so many more details and things to do that prohibit that vision.
Where we are:
-Travis is working for Dale Properties (broker of Chesapeake Energy) as a landman. He is very successful at what he does and is a member of the AAPL. He lives with his best friend-Peter Bay in the Klife house in Fort Worth. Travis-the stud that he is- has been so helpful to me moving down to Fort Worth and being so patient with me getting to know where I am going and adjusting to it all.
-Tricia moved down to Fort Worth at the beginning of June and lived with her Aunt Trese and Uncle Marty for 2 months. Tricia works at a church called Christ Chapel. She works part time at the 5/6 grade youth ministry where we do fun activities during the week and sundays are full of kids. Around 100 kids show up on Sunday to the 5/6 grade basement...that should show you how much fun we have!
-We are now short distance! It has been quite the adventure of living in the same city after 3 years of talking on the phone, seeing each other on a weekend per month and skype. It's been wonderful! We love it and really appreciate the time we have.
-Tricia got in a car wreck the week she moved down to Fort Worth and that was an emotional experience for both her a Travis (Travis was in the car in front of Tricia when a car ran a really red light and hit Tricia's ford escape drivers' side door full speed)..but God is good..always and protected us both!
-Tricia and Travis went through many townhomes and apartments trying to find the perfect first place to live when married. We found one called Monticello Oaks that is a 3 story townhome at the perfect location in Fort Worth. Tricia moved into the townhome at the beginning of August. Brianna Dubach (one of Tricia's bridesmaids and best friends from college) moved to Fort Worth and moved in with Tricia! They are so blessed to be living together and have so much fun.

-Registered: bed bath beyond, pottery barn, williams sonoma, dillards
-Place of Wedding: Asbury Chapel in Tulsa
-Place of Reception: Camp Loughridge
-Got the dress :)
-9 bridesmaids and 9 groomsmen and wonderful house party and ushers
-Tuffy(Travis'..I mean our dog) will make the appearance at the reception for all those wondering :)
-Got the flower arrangements worked almost out-Mary Murrays of Tulsa
-Got the bridesmaids dresses and working on the groomsmen suits
-Got our photographer-Jesse Reich and taking engagement photos next weekend in Tulsa
-Still working on the cake..thinking cookie cake with milk to drink :)
One thing that we both want in our wedding is for people to realize this is not about us..its about the LORD. He has brought us together and we give all the glory to Him, knowing this wouldn't have worked if it wasn't for Him. Also, we want people to look at our wedding and say "Ha, yeah thats Travis and Tricia!" We don't need to abide by the "normal" wedding structure...its our day!!
